Pillivuyt Porcelain
Pillivuyt SAS has been producing fine culinary porcelain in the
heart of France for nearly two centuries. It was founded by the
Pillivuyt family in 1818 and is located near the town of Mehun-sur-Yevre.
Pillivuyt still retains a large part of the human factor in the
production process. After the molding process each dish goes through
17 “hands-on” steps before leaving the factory, ensuring
that Pillivuyt quality is preserved throughout the generations.
All Pillivuyt porcelain pieces are:
- Microwave and oven-safe, even for broiling
- Can go directly from freezer to oven
- Excellent heat retention to keep food warm at the table
- Attractive enough to go with fine china on your table
- Impenetrable glaze that will not craze, is hygienic and easy
to clean
- Dishwasher-safe and resistant to scratching or chipping
- Cadmium and lead free
Pillvuyt’s lion’s head tureens are the only ones in
the world market which are still finished by craftspeople. Each
lion’s head is manually applied to the outside of the bowl
before the final firing.
