Daniel Mourre
Born in Avignon in 1963, Daniel Mourre started out as a cabinetmaker,
but realized that he was more fascinated by the artistry in plaster
creation than in wood. So, in 1996, at the age of 33, he began
to devote himself to his new craft. His shop is in the city of
Frontignan (southern France).
He writes, "My mirrors are completely... handmade in plaster
and consolidated with fiber. Each piece is unique and hand...painted
and waxed. Each piece is then patented (sic) and protected at the
French Administration. Every piece is not only undersigned but
also delivered with its...certificate on the back."
Daniel regards his mirrors as an exten-sion of himself and cares
about them as if they were his children. His personal touch combines
many different styles. These mirrors are completely hand crafted
and made with reinforced plaster.
I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do. They are absolutely
beautiful and are completely unique.
