The fabric is Jacquard: one with an all-over interwoven design, often in intricate patterns. Named for Joseph Marie Jacquard (1752-1834), who invented the Jacquard loom in 1801--the first to produce repeat patterns for cloth and carpet designs. It's easy to care for: 100% cotton, color-fast, and machine-washable.
