Faience Lamp

This beautiful and unusual lamp is done in the faience (a decorated, tin-glazed earthenware) style. The term originated in the late 17th century, and originally denoted pottery made in Faenza, Italy.

The colors are green and light mustard. Hand painted, made in France.

This lamp comes with the shade made in America. It's a "Silk O Lite" brand made of Antique Shantung, with contents listed as 43% Bemberg and 57% acetate. It is non-wrinkling, washable does not glare and has a rust-proof frame. It is topped with an iron Fleur de Lys finial.
